影片改編自查克·迪克遜所著同名系列小說，主人公萊文·凱德（杰森·斯坦森 Jason Statham 飾）是黑色行動界的傳奇人物，他放棄職業(yè)從事建筑工作，想過簡單的生活，做女兒的好父親，而當(dāng)他老板的十幾歲女兒珍妮突然消失后，萊文被召回要求重操舊業(yè)。在追蹤過程中，萊文卷入到 一個邪惡的犯罪陰謀的中心，產(chǎn)生了連鎖反應(yīng)，將威脅到他的新生活方式。
